Review: by Nate "RedNinja" Gleason 8.5/10 - Well, this certainly is an interesting card. In exchange for some rather mighty backlash, we get a very effective and consistent ability. I think what we have here…is an example of a great plot twist. It's a common rookie mistake, in any game, to underestimate self sacrifice. And I expect the card to be underplayed in that regard. But even if we don't want to accept 2 points of damage for such a powerful effect, we can offer up any monster with the Invulnerable ability to nullify the damage completely. In fact, this leads me to a great combo - "Unlikely Martyr" and the Experienced Faith Priest. With the Invulnerable ability, alongside the Protector ability, the priest becomes a true guardian if we have this card in hand. When it comes to the power of a Plot Twist, nothing is more important than consistency. This is definitely a card to try out, especially if you have an Invulnerable monster or two. |
