The Experienced Dog Soldier has a lot going for him compared to the Rookie. He’s got a decent 5 movement in human form, which is enough to get him into the fray in the early stages. When transformed, he offers a 10 attack and 3 damage for only 30 points. That’s comparable to the Blood Vamp for his cost, but he adds the four clicks of Stamina and the additional click of 3 damage. As a last resort, he still has a range attack if he’s held down in human form.

As I said before, he also gives you the advantage of a cheap werewolf for Fearsome Growl. At just the right point cost, I use him a bit. I usually have him guard the hallways or room entrances in the house, on guard the center of the Graveyard from the bushes. A gravestone is worth packing for this guy.

I just need to switch out the figure from the extra Vet I have so he looks more like a werewolf and less like Guile from Street Fighter. My nickname for him is “Spoon,” from, of course, the movie Dog Soldiers.
